Unemployment Falls to New Record Low 4.5 Per Cent

The country’s unemployment rate fell to a new record low 4.5 per cent in April 2023, according to the Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) Labour Force Survey for the period.

Jashii and crew survive pre-dawn reprisal gun attack

Police have confirmed that a motor vehicle in which dancehall artiste Jahshii was travelling was attacked by armed men early Friday morning. Six men, all members of the artiste's entourage, were shot and injured. Jahshii emerged from the incident unscathed.
