Fresh from Reggae Sumfest 2025, Magnum Tonic Wine concluded its Ultimate Dancehall Experience promotion with an authentic experience at Boom Sundays for the promotions winners.
Held in Grants Pen, the event was an explosion of sound and energy, with patrons and artists alike vibing to the pulsating rhythms that define the dancehall genre. Boom Sundays was an unforgettable spectacle that gave the winners a true taste of Dancehall culture in its purest form.
Having experienced the luxurious and touristy vibe of the second city, the Magnum team transported the 6 lucky winners into Kingston, where they stayed at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. Known for its thrilling, impromptu performances and electric atmosphere, Boom Sundays is a staple in the dancehall community, where the best of local and international artists light up the stage, and where many dance moves are created.
"The Magnum Tonic Wine Ultimate Dancehall Experience is all about connecting with the global dancehall community, and Boom Sundays was the perfect event to highlight this," said Chevanne Lawrence, Channel and Customer Marketing Manager at J. Wray & Nephew, producers of Magnum Tonic Wine. "Our guests were able to experience the raw energy and passion that Jamaican dancehall music offers in a way that only Boom Sundays could provide. It was a truly unforgettable night for them."
From unforgettable performances by top Dancehall and Reggae artists at Reggae Sumfest, to the unique vibe of the street dance, the experience was a perfect blend of music, culture, and entertainment.
Boom Sundays was a vibe like no other, as impromptu performances by upcoming artistes, such as Kant10t, took place. The selectors for the night dipped into their catalogue of music, creatively mixing early 2000s dancehall hits with new generation hits which saw patrons putting on their dancing shoes, dancing in tandem with each other.
“Boom Sunday’s was exhilarating! I have never experienced something like this before and it was fun to watch all the seemingly random people coming together, dancing as if they've practiced, and just creating a good vibe overall,” shared Renay Bobb-Williams, winner of the Ultimate Dancehall Experience from Tobago.
Senior Brand Manager for the J Wray & Nephew Portfolio in Barbados, Jamal Alleyne, was amongst those who were in Jamaica for the experience. He shared that “It was an amazing experience, and I felt truly immersed in the culture of what dancehall is and what it means to the Jamaican people. The team from Jamaica left no stones unturned in ensuring our winners experienced the fullness of the Jamaican entertainment scene.”
